We all experience guilt in one form of another. My biggest guilt these days is trying to be the perfect mom. If I say “no” to my kids, I feel they will hate me. I’m in the process of letting it go…but right now, i’m letting it win.
Tell me about your guilt these days and together we can all go through the process of letting it go!
What makes me feel guilty is taking time for me . I’m use to always taking care of others and sometimes forget myself .
You are an amazing mom , anyone who knows you knows how much you love your kiddos , and they are great kids ❤️
Yes why are we sometimes our worst enemies? The guilt of taking care of ourselves is so counter-productive!
I have never been able to say no! I remember being disappointed over and over as a kid and I never wanted my kids to feel that way. That’s sheltering at its finest lol. If there is an instance where I do have to say no, I explain it it such detail so I think they understand, then I go cry in my room. They are 13 & 16 and I still do this! And as far as time for myself, I want to spend every minute with them because someday they’ll be gone, and that’s approaching faster these days. Parenting is so emotionally hard!
Didnt mean to be anonymous…its Jen Greenwood 🙂
If they only knew the pain we go through…which of course we would never show them, cause that would somehow traumatize them!!! Anything to ensure their happiness. I can relate!
My guilt is about leaving my old home for a new one. The guilt comes into play whenever I have to look at one of my moms things, knowing I will not have the room for it in the future, I have an overwhelming feeling that I am letting her down.
It’s crazy how unconditional love for someone can make us feel the overwhelming guilt!
